Teacher pleads guilty in child porn case

September 10, 2009

A Hagerstown man who taught middle school music and drama in Frederick County, Md., pleaded guilty Thursday to receiving child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein's office.

Adam Windsor, 25, was a teacher at Ballenger Creek Middle School in Frederick, a news release from Rosenstein's office says.

Windsor is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 1 in U.S. District Court in Baltimore.

The release says Windsor paid $79.99 for a subscription to a Web site where he could access and receive child pornography.

On April 24, as a part of an investigation into people using child pornography Web sites, federal Immigration & Customs Enforcement agents used a warrant to search Windsor's home and to seize computers and other evidence, the release says.

The agents reportedly found videos and images of minors, some of whom were prepubescent, engaged in sexually explicit conduct and depictions of violence and bondage, the release says.

Windsor also surreptitiously recorded videos of girls changing their clothes, Rosenstein's office said. The girls were participants in a play while Windsor worked at the school.

The release says Windsor wrote in an online chat that he paid girls at school to e-mail him pictures of themselves.

In some chat sessions, he pretended to be a girl 12 to 16 years old and asked girls for pictures of themselves naked and/or engaged in sexually explicit conduct, Rosenstein's office said.
