GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- A woman who appeared to be uninjured after a vehicle accident Tuesday died Thursday, according to Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner.

Janet L. Bitner, 84, of Greencastle, was pronounced dead at 12:05 a.m. Thursday at Waynesboro Hospital, Conner said in a news release.

Conner gave the cause of death as blunt force head trauma.

In his news release, Conner said Bitner failed to stop at a stop sign at North Allison and Grant streets in Greencastle at about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday. Her vehicle was struck in the driver's door by another vehicle, Conner said.

She didn't appear to be hurt and refused medical treatment at the scene, according to the release.

She later developed a subdural hematoma, or blood clot, and was found unconscious in her home, Conner said.
