HAGERSTOWN -- The Lake County Captains scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning and got solid pitching throughout a 4-2 victory over the Hagerstown Suns in the finale of the South Atlantic League regular season Monday.

The Suns finished 25-42 in the second half and 56-78 overall.

Tyler Moore put the Suns ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the first with a groundout that scored Steve Lombardozzi.

Hagerstown starter A.J. Morris (0-4) made the run hold up through three innings, but Delvi Cid picked up the first hit of the game for the Captains with a bunt single down the third-base line, starting Lake County's rally.

After Morris walked Karexon Sanchez, Cid came around to tie the game when Suns' centerfielder Chris Curran made an errant throw home on a Bo Greenwell double.

John Allman followed with a single up the middle to score Sanchez, but Curran threw out Greenwell at the plate. Two batters later, a Roberto Perez single scored Allman.

Lake County starter Alexander Morales (1-0) settled in to hold the Suns scoreless over his final five innings of work.

Hagerstown matched that run in the bottom of the frame, as right fielder J.R. Higley launched a one-out double to center to plate Lombardozzi, who was hit by a pitch.

Matt Langwell pitched a perfect ninth for his fourth save.
