Festival of Trees changes locations to Hager Hall

September 05, 2009

The annual Festival of Trees has changed its location to Hager Hall Conference and Events Center this year because it outgrew its former site at Robinwood Medical Center, officials said.

The sixth annual event will be from Dec. 1 to 5 at Hager Hall, beside the Clarion Hotel on Dual Highway in Hagerstown.

"We are excited about the growing popularity of this event. The move to Hager Hall provides expanded opportunities to accommodate visitors, showcase our decorator and recognize our supporters," said Sandra Pollack, executive director for Antietam Healthcare Foundation, which holds the event each year.

The event, presented by Centra Bank, features nearly 50 trees and wreaths in addition to a silent auction, model train display, gift shop, special events and holiday entertainment.

Another change this year will be to the preview party, normally held at the beginning of the event. This year, the festival finale party will be a semi-formal cocktail reception which will serve to conclude the event on Saturday evening. This will offer visitors an opportunity to be present when the silent auction closes.
