Berkeley Springs 5, St. James 2

SAINT JAMES -- Zach Wise had three goals to lead Berkeley Springs over St. James on Thursday.

Jacob Wise and Gudiel Guzman each had a goal and an assist and Caleb Murray had eight saves for the Indians (2-2-1).

Andrew Ludwick both goals for Saint James, while Stephen Pritchard had six saves.


Berkeley Springs 3, Saint James 3

SAINT JAMES -- Michelle Williams scored three goals, including two on breakaways, to help Berkeley Springs come back and secure a tie against St. James.

St. James led 3-1 until Williams turned the game around. Her second breakaway score came with 10 minutes remaining.

Mary Afzalie had two goals and an assist and Suzie McKelvey had a goal for St. James (0-0-1). Rachel Herrera collected 16 saves in goal for the Saints.



Broadfording 3, Goretti 0

Becca Adams had 23 assists and five service aces to lead Broadfording Christian to a 25-9, 25-7, 25-19 nonconference win over St. Maria Goretti.

Hannah Young had five kills, seven aces and eight digs for the Lions (4-0), while Charlotte Worsfold had six kills and Danielle DuBois added three assists and 14 digs.

For Goretti (0-2), Sarah Swope had two aces and two kills and Alex Terhorst added three service points and two kills.
