September 04, 2009

INWOOD, W.Va. -- A 46-year-old Virginia woman was flown Friday to Winchester (Va.) Medical Center after she wrecked a vehicle on W.Va. 51 on the west side of the bridge over Opequon Creek, according to West Virginia State Police.

Christine Ryman of Gore, Va., appeared to be "in and out" of consciousness but did not appear to have any major injuries from the accident, which occurred at about 12:15 p.m., Trooper B.C. Edwards said.

The 1997 Chrysler that Ryman was driving east on W.Va. 51 was totaled, Edwards said.

The accident was under investigation.
