Western Maryland Wellness Day set for Sept. 12

CUMBERLAND, Md. - On Saturday, Sept. 12, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maryland Chapter, in partnership with the Riverside YMCA, will hold the second annual Western Maryland Wellness Day.

Program participants will be invited to attend various hands-on workshops, including self defense basics for those living with disabilities; seated chair massage; paraffin wax bath, ionic foot cleansing; acupuncture; nutrition, guided imagery; aquatic aerobics; open gym; durable medical equipment; and in home nonmedical care.

Registration begins at noon and programs will start at 1 p.m.

A light lunch will be provided to participants. Admission costs $5 per person.

Those interested in joining the program can register online at www.nmss-md.org or by calling 800-FIGHT-MS. Registration is open to those living with MS, their family, friends, relatives and caregivers and all those interested in a healthier lifestyle. Registration deadline is Sept. 7.
