Cab driver robbed at gunpoint

HAGERSTOWN -- A taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night at the intersection of Linwood Road and Noland Drive, according to a Washington County Sheriff's Department press release.

The robbery was reported at 11:52 p.m., deputies said.

The driver of a Miller Transportation cab told deputies he was robbed by three males ages 15 to 18 wearing dark clothing, deputies said. He said one of them put a gun against his head and requested his money, deputies said.

After the driver gave the youths an undetermined amount of money, the three fled on foot toward Noland Village, deputies said.

The cab driver was not injured.
