Smithsburg Middle applauds custodians
Special thanks to the custodial staff. After the dust and debris settled, the staff squeezed a summer's worth of cleaning, moving furniture, floor stripping and polishing, and painting into two weeks to prepare for the opening day of school. Basic life support class offered at HCC
Hagerstown Community College will offer a basic life support class for health care providers Friday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Career Programs Building.
The class is limited to 16 students. Offered through the American Heart Association, health care providers will earn 4.75 contact hours. The cost is $55, plus a $5 registration fee. To register or learn more, call 301-790-2800, ext. 236.
Insurance course available at HCC
Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education will offer a 60-hour class designed toward providing students with the knowledge to take and pass the Maryland State Insurance Exam to obtain a life and health insurance license.
The course is divided into 40 hours of class time and 20 hours of self study. A life and health insurance license is required by law to sell any kind of health or life insurance.
The course is offered on Fridays, from Sept. 11 to Oct. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m., at HCC's Valley Mall Center.
