LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- Steven Souza doubled in Chris Curran in the top of the ninth inning to help the Hagerstown Suns to a 4-2 victory over the Lakewood BlueClaws on Wednesday.

With the score tied at 2, Curran entered the game as a pinch runner for Michael Guerrero, who singled to lead off the ninth. Curran stole second base in between two strikeouts, then scored on Souza's double to center. Souza then scored on Stephen Lombardozzi's single.

Clayton Dill (1-0) got the win in relief for the Suns, throwing two hitless innings and striking out four.

Souza and Travis Reagan finished with two hits apiece for the Suns.

Hagerstown closes out its season with a five-game homestand against the Lake County Captains, which begins today.
