LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- Travis Mattair's inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the seventh inning broke a 2-2 tie and led the Lakewood BlueClaws to a 3-2 victory over the Hagerstown Suns on Tuesday night.

The BlueClaws (32-30) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth as Travis d'Arnaud and Jim Murphy started the frame with back-to-back doubles. Murphy moved to third on a groundout and scored on Mattair's sacrifice fly to center.

Trevor May kept the Suns off the scoreboard for five innings, allowing three hits and walking four while striking out six.

The Suns (22-39) tied it up in the sixth against reliever Eryk McConnell. J.R. Higley reached on a fielder's choice and moved to second on a two-out walk to Steven Souza. Travis Reagan followed with a double to right, scoring Higley and Souza.
