Young bicyclist struck by car remains 'critically stable'

ST. JAMES - An 8-year-old boy struck by a car last week on Jordan Road remained in critically stable condition at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Monday, the boy's father said.

David Greeley, a third-grader at Fountain Rock Elementary School, has undergone several extensive surgeries, his father, Scott Greeley, said Monday morning.

The boy suffered compound fractures to both legs and a head injury when he was struck by a car at about 7 p.m. Thursday while riding a bicycle in front of 9045 Jordan Road, police said.
