Area students receive scholarships from Frostburg State

FROSTBURG, Md. -- The following area students have received scholarships from Frostburg State University:

o Christine Barnes, Williamsport, received the Talents in the Arts Scholarship. She is the daughter of Julie and Ed Lough and attended Williamsport High School.

o Coby Blum, Smithsburg, received the University Scholarship. He is the son of Al and Jenny Blum and attended Smithsburg High School.

o Christina Cushwa, Clear Spring, received the Academic Distinction Scholarship. She is the daughter of Bill and Debby Cushwa and attended Clear Spring High School.

o Cody Delauney, Hagerstown, received the Academic Honor Scholarship. He is the son of Sharon Bell and attended Boonsboro High School.

o Christian Ernst, Clear Spring, received the University Scholarship. He is the son of Greg and Paula Ernst and attended Clear Spring High School.

o Jamie Fisher, Myersville, Md., received the English Endowed Pauline Tustin Hobbs Scholarship. She is the daughter of Carol and Lyle Fisher and attended Middletown (Md.) High School.

o Mark Flores, Frederick, Md., received the Academic Excellence Scholarship. He is the son of Luis F. and Sandra A. Flores and attended Tuscarora High School.

o Beau Hickman, Thurmont, Md., received the Russell W. Younkers Scholarship. He is the son of Martin and Margaret Hickman and attended Catoctin High School.

o Eric Hoffmaster, Jefferson, Md., received the Talents in the Arts Scholarship. He is the son of Laurie and Maurice Hoffmaster and attended Brunswick High School.

o Emily Hornbaker, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., received the Nonresident Academic Scholarship, Talents in the Arts Scholarship and Marguerite Witwer Richards Scholarship. She attended Berkeley Springs High School.

o Ben Kelly, Hagerstown, received the Academic Excellence Scholarship. He is the son of Aaron and Linda Kelly and attended North Hagerstown High School.

o Andrew Lopez, Middletown, Md., received the Academic Distinction Scholarship. He is the son of Martin and Denyse Lopez and attended Middletown High School.

o Patricia Malatt, Frederick, received the Academic Excellence Scholarship and Talents in the Arts Scholarship. She is the daughter of Marissa Malatt and attended Urbana High School.

o Andrew Matthews, Smithsburg, received the Talents in the Arts Scholarship. He is the son of Sue and Daniel Matthews and attended Washington County Technical High School.

o Daniel Mauk, Hancock, received the Talents in the Arts Scholarship. He is the son of Greg and Trink Mauk and attended Hancock High School.

o Casey McNamee, Clear Spring, received the Academic Distinction Scholarship. She is the daughter of Linda McNamee and attended Clear Spring High School.

o Stephen Middleton, Frederick, received the Academic Excellence Scholarship. He is the son of Lessia A. Middleton and attended Tuscarora High School.

o Samuel Myers, Clear Spring, received the Academic Honor Scholarship. He is the son of Amy and Mark Myers and attended Clear Spring High School.

o Kyle Reese, Myersville, received the Academic Honor Scholarship. He is the son of Randy Reese and attended Middletown High School.

o Curtis Ridenour, Smithsburg, received the University Scholarship. He is the son of Helene and Curtis Ridenour and attended Clear Spring High School.

o Lauryn Sheeley, Smithsburg, received the Academic Excellence Scholarship. She is the daughter of David and Kathy Bromley and attended Broadfording Christian Academy.

o Jannil Sites, Greencastle, Pa., received the Nonresident Academic Scholarship. He is the son of Terry L. Shannon and Bryan M. Sites and attended James Buchanan High School.

o Amanda Toms, Frederick, received the Talents in the Arts Scholarship and Jesse Gardiner Visual Arts Award. She is the daughter of Randall and Sandra Toms and attended Thomas Johnson High School.

o Adrienne Tracey, Smithsburg, received the University Scholarship. She is the daughter of Rick and Kathy Tracey and attended Smithsburg High School.

o Emily Warren, Hagerstown, received the University Scholarship. She is the daughter of Marvin and Mary Ellen Warren and attended North Hagerstown High School.
