Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education is offering a variety of dance classes this fall for people of all ages and skill levels.
The first course, "Find Pleasure in Social Ballroom - Beginning," is a course designed for first-time students who are interested in learning the basic dance figures of the most popular rhythms, such as the cha cha, swing, the foxtrot, waltz and rumba. Beginning Sept. 8, the course is offered on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Western Maryland Hospital Center on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Intermediate-level courses include "Dancing Like Stars," which is offered on Wednesdays from 7 to 9:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 16; "Find Pleasure in Social Ballroom - Intermediate," which is offered on Tuesdays from 8:15 to 9:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 8; and "Intermediate Social Ballroom," which is offered on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m., beginning Sept. 8. Intermediate courses are designed for those who have previous ballroom dancing experience.
