HAGERSTOWN - Maurice McPherson Barnhart, 71, of Potomac Towers of Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at his home.
Born Oct. 17, 1937, in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Gerald Abraham and Grace Viola Wells Barnhart.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Donna R. Selby Barnhart, in 2005.
He was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was employed as a brick and stone mason for various contractors in the Tri-State area.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Little Club of Hagerstown, Md.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly L. Lamoureux and Virginia A. Martin, both of North Charleston, S.C.; sons, Anthony W. Barnhart and Scott R. Barnhart of Goose Creek, S.C.; son, Douglas D. Barnhart of Moncks Corner, S.C.; sister, Nancy Phelan of Greencastle, Pa.; sister, Jean Wagner of Boonsboro, Md.; sister, Judy Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Donald Barnhart of Glenelg, Md.; brother, Gerald Barnhart of Williamsport, Md.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
