TOPS 462

The TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 462 in Smithsburg has been on a roll with its losers turning into winners.

Ola made it 13 weeks in a row without a weight gain.

Ola also led the program last week, talking about how easy it is to cut 100 calories a day from your diet. She said that if the members could do that they could lose 20 pounds in a year's time.

On Aug. 22, the chapter members attended a TOPS workshop in Boonsboro where ideas were suggested on how to make each TOPS chapter better.

The members also discussed how to get new members and how to help one another reach their goal weight.

The chapter meets Thursdays at St. Paul's United Methodist church, 51 S. Main St. in Smithsburg. Weigh-in starts at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting is from 6 to 7 p.m.

For more information, call Ola at 301-824-7650 or John at 717-749-3023.
