Beverly Margaretta (Moser) Stenger, 92, of Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at the Homewood Health Care Center, Williamsport, Md.

Born June 26, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Paul Leon and Mary Anna (Osborne) Moser.

She is the wife of 67 years to Richard Melvin Stenger of Hagerstown.

Beverly was a 1935 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

She was a member of the Homemakers Club, the American Red Cross and Christ's Reformed United Church of Christ, Hagerstown.

In addition to her husband, Beverly is survived by two daughters, Francine Ryan of Calistoga, Calif., and Paula Blum of Cedar Brook, N.J.; three grandchildren, Julia Blum and Gabriel Blum, both of Cedar Brook, and Abigail Burke and her husband, Daniel, and a great-grandson, Matthew R. Burke, all of South Egremont, Mass.

The graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. Her pastor, the Rev. Gregg R. Meserole, will officiate.


The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Christ's Reformed United Church of Christ, 140 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740; or to Homewood Benevolent Fund, 16505 Virginia Ave., Williamsport, MD 21795.
