Neighbors of man in Pa. standoff arrested

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Two neighbors of a man who barricaded himself in a home on Limestone Drive for almost six hours on Monday have been arrested on a drug-related charge, Pennsylvania State Police said.

While police set up a perimeter outside the home of the barricaded man, several troopers noticed a mature marijuana plant growing in a neighbor's yard, according to a news release.

After the barricade situation ended peacefully at about 7:20 p.m., police arrested the two residents of the neighboring home.

Jay Edward Mowery, 46 and Matthew Alan Mowery, 21, both of Limestone Drive, were charged with drug manufacture, the release said.
