Franklin County tech center nursing students graduate

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- The Franklin County Career and Technology Center held graduation for its Practical Nursing Program July 30 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.

Special awards:

Kimberly Johnson received the Florence Nightingale Award, given to the student who in the opinion of the faculty best exemplifies the true spirit of nursing as evidenced by her compassion, caring and concern for her clients; sponsored by Menno-Haven Inc. and Dr. Paul Orange in memory of his mother, Margaret Orange.

Kathryn Kious received the Clinical Practice Award, given to the student excelling in clinical practice; sponsored by the faculty of the practical nursing program and the Business and Professional Women's Club of Chambersburg.

Amy Sallee received the Scholastic Award, given to the student with the highest scholastic average for the year; sponsored by the Psychological Services Bureau in memory of Anna S. Evans.

Caitlin Murray received the Geriatric Award, given to the student excelling in geriatric nursing; sponsored by the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Auxiliary.
