Pauline (Peg) Frances Dunkin Garula, 66, of Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Jan. 2, 1943, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Leroy Dunkin Sr. and Viola (Pin) Corine Diffendaffer Dunkin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis Garula.

She retired from Maryland Ribbon Co.

She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Felder, Liz Brown and Tina Oyler, all of Hagerstown; four sisters, Grace Pentz and Nancy (Nan) Mundey, both of Hagerstown, Charlotte (Lu) Myers of Greencatle, Pa., and Sharon LeHardy of Chambersburg, Pa.; two brothers, Maurice (June) Dunkin Jr. of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Harry (Pork) Dunkin Sr. of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Jeanetta Cooper, Christopher Oyler, Mark Felder Jr. and Jadelin Oyler, all of Hagerstown; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter; one sister, Alice (Sue) Gross; and three brothers, Ronnie Dunkin, Robert (Bob) Dunkin and Howard Dunkin.


Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Larry Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
