Bible school class raises money for Samaritan Purse

August 22, 2009

WILLIAMSPORT - The children at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church's Bible school took up an offering each night to provide clean water and emergency medicine for Third World countries.

The boys and girls had a contest to see which group could tip the scale with the most coins. This year, the girls won four out of five nights.

The real winners will be the recipients of the offering to provide clean water and emergency medicine through the Samaritan Purse organization. The children and adult classes raised more than $800 for the project. The church is at 10813 Donelson Drive in Williamsport.
