Two hurt after car driven onto roof of another car



SCOTLAND, Pa. -- A car overturned Friday morning after it drove onto the roof of another car that was pulled off to the side of Black Gap Road in Franklin County, Pa., delivering telephone books, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

The crash happened about 7:43 a.m. on Black Gap Road (Pa. 997), about a quarter-mile south of Mount Pleasant Road, troopers said.

A 2005 Toyota Corolla was sitting just outside the westbound lane with its hazard lights on when a westbound 2004 Dodge Stratus struck the back of the Corolla, ran up onto the stopped car and rolled over onto its roof, troopers said.

Shannon L. Pack, 35, of Biglerville, Pa., the driver of the stopped car, was taken to Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital with a moderate injury, troopers said.

Michelle Ruquet, 34, of Shippensburg, Pa., the driver of the Dodge Stratus, also was taken to Chambersburg Hospital with a minor injury, troopers said.

Ruquet was charged with driving too fast for conditions, troopers said.

Driver hurt in crash in Hamilton Township



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Two cars crashed Thursday night at the intersection of Edenville and Letterkenny roads in Hamilton Township, Pa., according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

Shannon L. Plank, 18, of St. Thomas, Pa., was attempting to turn left in a 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix when he turned into the path of a 2006 Honda Civic driven by Analiza E. Jones, 29, of Chambersburg, troopers said.

Jones was injured and was taken by ambulance to Chambersburg Hospital, troopers said.

Plank was charged with a traffic violation, troopers said.
