St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stuart Dunnan, headmaster of St. James School, will lead Sunday's 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services. Music will be provided by Brady Myers, baritone, at the later service. Sunday school resumes in the fall.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will speak Sunday at the 8:15 a.m. communion service and 10:30 a.m. worship service on "Word of Life." Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Eric Norgard is preacher and presider Sunday at the 8:30 a.m. worship in the sanctuary and the 9:45 a.m. praise worship in fellowship hall, with special music provided by Stevie Prather. Lay assisting minister is Inge Dudda. Sunday school resumes in the fall.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will speak Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on "No Turning Back." Sunday school is at 10:45 a.m.

First Christian Church, Senior Minister Fred Harris will speak Sunday at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. on "Time in a Box." Special music will be provided by Kylie Stoup, who will perform a piano solo. Sunday school is at 11:15 a.m.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak Sunday at 11 a.m. on "Control Over Nature." Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Rachel Black will speak Sunday at 10 a.m. on "Wonderful Words of Eternal Life." Marybelle Hose is worship leader. Sunday school is at 9 a.m. A carry-in meal follows the service.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, the topic Sunday at 10 a.m. is "The Perils of An Unanointed Shield." Bible study is at 9 a.m. The topic at 6 p.m. is "I Must See Rome." The topic at Wednesday's youth service at 7 p.m. is "Consider Your Ways."

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., a laity and youth-led worship is today at 6:30 p.m. The Rev. Al Clipp will speak Sunday at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. on "Our True Abode." Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will speak Sunday at 10:40 a.m. on "The Resurrection and the Life." Christian education is at 9:30 a.m. The topic at family fellowship at 6 p.m. is "Mormonism." Wednesday prayer, Bible study and Teen Club are at 7 p.m.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa. Pastor Steve Burdette will speak Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on "In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost."

Tri-State Fellowship, the theme "The Uncommon Common Life: Relationships in the Family of Faith" will continue at all three services Sunday with the message of The Church in Philadelphia. At the 9:30 a.m. classic service, the children with share music from their summer program and David Hadigian will speak. Bill Kesecker will speak in the 9:30 a.m. café service and Senior Pastor Randy Buchman will speak at the 11 a.m. bridge service.

Church of Christ in the Great Valley, 7306 Wheeler Road, Boonsboro, Paul Toothman will speak Sunday at 10 a.m. on "Fruit of the Spirit -- Kindness." Sunday school is at 9 a.m.
