Charles S. Courtney, 88, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Jr. O.A.M. memorial service at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery near Paw Paw, W.Va., with graveside military rites by Tri-State Honor Guard and graveside services by Deford Masonic Lodge.
