August 20, 2009

The third annual Elizabethtowne Feaste and Frolic will be Saturday, Sept. 12, at Academy Theater in Hagerstown.

The Renaissance-themed event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception followed by a dinner of Renaissance-inspired fare at 7.

Following the dinner, the Maryland Shakespeare Players, a theater group from the University of Maryland, will entertain guests with comedic Shakespeare skits.

In addition, Renaissance re-enactors from local community groups will interact with the guests throughout the evening.

Proceeds from the event benefit the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown Scholarship, a fund of the USM-H Foundation Inc.

There are several levels of sponsorship for the event.

Individual tickets cost $100 per person. Payment reserves a space at the event.

Tickets will be mailed after payment is made and will include a receipt noting the tax-deductible portion of the donation.
