Jewelry stolen in Williamsport burglary

WILLIAMSPORT -- As of midafternoon Sunday, the Washington County Sheriff's Department was still looking for a burglar who stole jewelry from a Williamsport home on Wednesday.

The sheriff's department said in a news release that the burglary happened between 11 a.m. and noon Aug. 12 on Mosby Drive near Williamsport.

Someone broke in and stole a gold and crystal pin, two jade bracelets, a wooden animal necklace, colored glass jewelry, and gold bracelets and necklaces, police said.

Deputies said two people were seen walking on Mosby Road toward Governor Lane Boulevard at about 11 a.m. Wednesday. One was a white man standing about 6 feet 4 inches tall who was carrying a full white trash bag and a shoulder bag.

Deputies have asked anyone with information about the theft to call them at 301-791-3020.
