BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Dale Wayne Robinson, 55, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at his home.

Born Aug. 13, 1954, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Harry Wayne and Lucy Belle Riggleman Robinson.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was a 1972 graduate of Hancock High School in Hancock, Md.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1992 as a sergeant with the U.S. Army National Guard in Hagerstown, Md., where he was a cook and diesel mechanic.

He was a retired truck driver with the Maryland State Highway Administration.

Mr. Robinson was a member and past commander of Webster B. Harrison American Legion Post 26 of Hancock. He was a lifetime member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1483 of Berkeley Springs, where he had served as governor. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Legion, had served as president of Loyal Order of Moose West Virginia District 3 and had attained the degree of Pilgrim.

He enjoyed auto body work and loved to play tip jars.

Dale is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Roach Robinson at home; two sisters, Shirley Jean Harbaugh of Franklin, Pa., and Rebecca Ann Morris of Warfordsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Ernest Francis Robinson of Berkeley Springs and Thomas Lee Robinson of Warfordsburg; one uncle, Carroll Robinson of Keyser, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs, with the Rev. Daniel L. Montague III officiating. Interment will be in Greenway Cemetery, with graveside military honors provided by the Tri-State Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at noon for the convenience of family and friends. There will be a Moose Lodge memorial service at 7 p.m.
