Fashion experts needed for show

FREDERICK, Md. - Organizers are looking for fashion designers, make-up artists, hair stylists and others to participate in Frederick Fashion Week Thursday, Sept. 17 to Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Cultural Arts Center in downtown Frederick.

A new Amateur and Student Designer Showcase has been added to this year's festivities on Sept. 17. The event will provide students of all ages, including high school and college, an opportunity to show off their apparel creations. The evening will also include educational sessions such as make-up and hair demonstrations.

The Frederick Arts Council will also be hosting a gallery exhibit to promote the art of fashion. The organization is seeking artwork and photography to display in the Market Street Gallery for the month of September.

Auditions set for Seussical musical

Potomac Playmakers are holding open auditions for "Seussical the musical" at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24 at The Academy Theatre, 58 E. Washington St., Hagerstown.

Auditions for more than people with roles for singers/dancers including one featured child.
