MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Police were looking for a man who Friday morning robbed the Martinsburg Mall branch of Mountain Heritage Federal Credit Union, according to a Martinsburg Police Department news release.
No one was injured in the robbery at 800 Foxcroft Ave., which occurred at 8:13 a.m., according to Martinsburg Police Cpl. S.F. Doyle.
The man told a teller he was armed with a firearm, passed a note demanding money and took an undisclosed amount of cash from two tellers before leaving the bank, according to the news release.
The suspect was described as black, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and in his mid-20s to mid-30s, according to witnesses. He was wearing a dark T-shirt, dark pants, sunglasses and a red Philadelphia Phillies baseball cap.
