Summer program holds talent show

The Summer Afternoon Program at Memorial Recreation Center held an end-of-summer talent show recently as the youth group took the audience on a "View Across the World," which was their theme for the summer.

The talent show included highlights from countries such as Japan, Scotland, Africa, Ireland and the U.S., specifically Hawaii.

The youths performed several dances, which reflected each of the countries, prepared their own costumes, did a food tasting and performed several musical stories.

Loretta Wright, executive director, said the parents cheered when the youths sang "We Are the World" by Michael Jackson.
