HANCOCK, Md. - Linda Dian Crouse, age 51, of Western Pike, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md.

Born Nov. 6, 1957, in Winchester, Va., she was the daughter of the late William and Louella Strosnider Elliott.

She was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Crouse Sr., whom she married June 19, 2004, in Hancock; one son, Gilbert Puffinberger Jr. of Hancock; one daughter, Bobbie Jo VanGosen of Winchester; two stepsons, Joseph W. Crouse Jr. and wife, Jessica, of Greencastle, Pa., and Timothy A. Crouse of Sandpoint, Idaho; one stepdaughter, Julie Reno and husband, Shannon, of Charles Town, W.Va.; two sisters, Bonnie Bartley of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Alice Mason of Bedington, W.Va.; and 10 grandchildren.

A service will be held Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. The Rev. Carol Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
