Home abandoned, furniture stolen



MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. -- The owner of a rental home in the 600 block of East Maple Street said the home was abandoned and the furniture inside was missing, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

The owner was unable to make contact with the previous tenants, the release said.

Anyone with information about the incident may call state police at 717-485-3131.

Pa. man charged with indecent exposure



McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - A Burnt Cabins, Pa., man was charged with indecent exposure after he appeared on his porch naked, according to a press release from the Pennsylvania State Police.

There were two people across the street on their porch who could see the man, the release said.

Charles Arthur Chambers, 59, was charged in the incident, which occurred at 9:21 p.m. on Aug. 5, the release said.

Inwood pharmacy damaged, robbed



INWOOD, W.Va. - Police believe someone broke a window on the front door of Patterson's Pharmacy on Hovatter Drive on Monday morning and took items from the store, according to a press release from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department.

The sheriff's department, which responded to a burglar alarm at the store at 5:18 a.m., said it appears glass in the front door was broken with a rock.

Someone then entered the store through the broken glass and exited the same way after obtaining items, according to the release.

Deputies searched the area with a dog, but no one was found, the release said.

Deputies were also able to review a surveillance video, the release said.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded recently to the following incidents, according to Lt. Mark Knight:

Friday, Aug. 7:

o At 7:17 a.m., theft was reported in the 16900 block of Fairview Road. Someone took a steel grain bin.

o At 8:17 a.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 1700 block of Underpass Way at Plaza Hotel. Someone broke into a vehicle and took sunglasses, a flashlight, a leather bag and a set of headsets.

o At 7:40 a.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Railway Lane at Holiday Inn Express. Someone took a GPS from a vehicle.

o At 7:52 a.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 11300 block of Massey Boulevard at Motel 6. Someone took a GPS and MP3 player.

o At 7:53 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 21100 block of Mount Aetna Road. Someone broke the rear window of a vehicle.

o At 9:02 a.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 17600 block of Valley Mall Road at the Country Inn. Someone took CDs and cell phones.

o At 9:05 a.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Railway Lane at the Holiday Inn Express. Someone took a GPS, Sirius Radio, digital camera and CDs.

o At 9:06 a.m., auto theft was reported in the 5000 block of Rohrersville Road. Someone took a 12-inch aluminum trailer.

o At 9:49 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 100 block of Railway Lane at Sherwin-Williams. Someone broke the window out of a van.

o At 10 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the area of Church Street in Williamsport. Someone slashed the tires on a vehicle.

o At 11 a.m., theft was reported in the 300 block of Prime Outlet Boulevard at the Jones New York Outlet. Money was missing from a deposit.

o At 11:10 a.m., a domestic disturbance was reported in the 5100 block of Amos Reeder Road.

o At 12:09 a.m., theft was reported in the 17300 block of Valley Mall Road. Someone took 34 bras from Victoria's Secret.

o At 3:53 p.m., breaking and entering was reported in the 3700 block of Limekiln Road. Someone broke into a home, and took a 1974 Ford Ranchero that was later recovered.

o At 6:01 p.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 8000 block of Mountain Laurel Road. Someone threw a mailbox through the front window of a residence.

o At 6:06 p.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 20700 block of Oriole Circle. An iPod was taken from a vehicle.

o At 7:01 p.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 20700 block of Oriole Circle. An iPod was taken from another vehicle.

o At 9:34 p.., drug violations were reported in the area of Oak Ridge Apartments on Downsville Pike. A juvenile was arrested and charged with possession of drugs through the Department of Juvenile Justice.

o At 10:41 p.m., theft was reported in the 17400 block of Fair Oaks Court. Someone stole prescription medication.

Saturday, Aug. 8:

o At 3:49 a.m., drug violations were reported in the 11300 block of Massey Boulevard at Motel 6.

o At 9:26 a.m., theft was reported in the 20600 block of Violet Road. Someone took generators from a home.

o At 10:15 a.., breaking and entering was reported in the 21000 block of Rohrersville School Road at the Ruritan building. Someone took 10 bottles of liquor and some CDs.

o At 1:39 p.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 15200 block of Saber Lane. Someone took three bikes and a bike rack from a vehicle.
