Library to host woodwind quintet Sunday, Sept. 13

August 11, 2009

Chamber music, a style of classical music written for a small group of four to five performers, can be described as the "music of friends." Musicians are as likely to meet in their own living rooms to enjoy this music form as they are to meet on the stage.

Colin St. Martin (flute), Meg Owens (oboe), Richard Spece (clarinet), Anna Marsh (bassoon) and Paul Hopkins (horn) are known as Circa 1800.

The woodwind quintet will perform at the Central Library at 100 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, Sunday, Sept 13, at 3 p.m.

Seating is limited. Call 301-739-3250, ext. 136 for a free ticket.

Concert information is available at www.washcolibrary.org.

Additional information about Circa 1800 can be found at www.circa1800.com.

This concert is part of Washington County Free Library's Noteworthy Sundays at Your Library Series and is sponsored in part by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the City of Hagerstown and the Western Maryland Regional Library.
