Area churches come together at Hagerstown City Park

August 08, 2009

On May 23, area residents came together as several Tri-State area churches sponsored a day filled with music, fun, food and fellowship at Hagerstown's City Park.

The day was a long- awaited dream of the congregation of Zion Baptist Church in Hagerstown.

The day began with an opening prayer by Evangelist Rodney Donaldson of Word of Life Outreach Ministries, and was followed by Master of Ceremonies Robert Petties, Ebenezer AME Church, who gave the invocation.

He explained that the intent of the day was to unite with community churches in the Tri-State area to worship, fellowship and most of all to deliver God's word to everyone.

Approximately 11 churches in the Tri-State area came together to sponsor the day in the park.

The following churches and individuals played a role in the event:

Greater Campher Temple Youth Choir in song
