"Liberating Harriet," a love story set against John Brown's raid at Harpers Ferry, W.Va., opens Friday at The Apollo Civic Theatre in Martinsburg, W.Va. Hagerstown City Park's band shell will ring with the sound of the Belles of Berkeley at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11. The chorus will perform patriotic songs, comedy, jazz, selections from "Dueling Belles: A Cowgirl Showdown," and provide a sneak peek of their upcoming Rosie the Riveter tribute.
