Franklin County students get Lenfest scholarships

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. -- The Lenfest Foundation has awarded Lenfest College Scholarships to eight Franklin County high school juniors.

The students will receive up to $12,000 per year for four years of attendance at an approved and accredited U.S. college or university.

The Franklin County students are among 24 high school juniors honored by the Lenfest Foundation.

The students are selected in their junior year so the foundation can offer counseling on the college admissions and financial aid application processes.

The students are:

o Autumn Bowers, Chambersburg Area Senior High School

o Antonio Cuesta, Chambersburg Area Senior High School

o Andy Dessel,  Chambersburg Area Senior High School

o Molly Geiger, Waynesboro Area Senior High School

o Christopher McNeal, James Buchanan High School

o Sarah Moore, Chambersburg Area Senior High School

o Megan Snider, Chambersburg Area Senior High School

The foundation also awarded one-time scholarships of $2,000 each to the following nine Franklin County students who were finalists in the program:

o Sallianne Crawford,  Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School

o Jacob Dovey, James Buchanan High School

o Tonya Grissinger, James Buchanan High School

o Jesse Herman, Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School

o Caitlyn Hill, Waynesboro Area Senior High School

o Caleb Lougheed, Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School

o Samantha Nelson, Chambersburg Area Senior High School

o Kathryn Plummer, Waynesboro Area Senior High School

o Adam Wetzel, Chambersburg Area Senior High School
