Carlisle 40K time trial

CARLISLE, Pa. -- George Ganoung, 38, of Hedgesville, W.Va., won the race in 51 minutes, 1 second. Adam Anderson, 36, of Morgantown, W.Va., and the WUV Health Care team, took second in 51:48.

Mike Spinnler, 50, of Hagerstown, racing for Antietam Velo Club/Team Hagerstown-Washington County Tourism, was eighth in 56:44.

South Mountain Mass-Start Climb

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Adam Anderson came back from his second-place finish in Carlisle to win the 7.3-mile climb up 1,324 feet in 25:30. Mike Spinnler finished second in 26:32, outsprinting Curtis Miller to the line by a second.


Neat, Elliott notch victories

Saturday night at Hagerstown Speedway turned out to be a neat night for Brad Neat, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series driver from Dunnville, Ky., scored the biggest win of his career, worth $10,000. The win came by one length over Earl Pearson Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla.


Glenn Elliott, of Sykesville, Md., scored his second career win in the Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic late model sportsman with a 1.13-second win over three-time winner Ashley Barrett. The race was sponsored by the Walls family in memory of Wayne Walls Sr., who passed away last November.
