Man in critical condition after falling from truck



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- A Chambersburg man suffered a major head injury early Saturday when he fell from a pickup truck that was driving in circles in a parking lot, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Shawn Robert Robinson, 23, was hanging from the passenger side of a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck at about 1:42 a.m. when Travis R. Higgins of Chambersburg began to drive the truck in a circular motion in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg, police said. Robinson fell from the truck and struck his head against the pavement, police said.

Robinson was unresponsive at the scene of the crash and was flown to York (Pa.) Hospital's trauma unit, police said. Robinson was in critical condition Saturday morning, police said.

Sheriff's Dept. investigating pawn shop break-in



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- The Berkeley County Sheriff's Department is investigating a break-in that happened early Friday at a pawn shop near Martinsburg, the department said in a news release.

At about 2:30 a.m. Friday, someone forced open the door of Rogers Pawn Shop on Eagle School Road, across from the Martinsburg Motel, and stole property, Lt. W.A. Johnson said.
