RoomStore Furniture

During the month of May, RoomStore Furniture awarded four minivans to people who registered and were randomly selected.

The winners were Cathy Anderson-Chism of Pennsylvania, Angel Ramey of West Virginia, Robert Akonobi of Virginia and Lisa Stephens of Texas.

This month, the RoomStore plans to give away televisions.

Cochran Auctioneers and Associates

BOONSBORO - Cochran Auctioneers and Associates recently won top honors at the 60th Annual International Auctioneers Conference in Overland Park, Kan., sponsored by the National Auctioneers Association and USA Today.

The firm was presented with awards for Excellence in Auction Marketing and Advertising for auction brochures for the liquidation of the Statton Furniture Manufacturing Co. and for the Alice Virginia Fletcher Estate antique auction.


Insurance Outfitters

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Tom Maiden's Insurance Outfitters is reopening this week.

Maiden, a certified financial planner who received military orders in April 2008 for his recall to active duty, has returned from Iraq.

One of the companies Maiden's agency will be representing is Erie Insurance.
