Sharpsburg Library to present
'Hats Off to America' event Aug. 6



Entertainer Ray Owen will present "Hats Off to America!" at the Sharpsburg Library on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 3:30 p.m.

"Hats Off to America!" is a musical journey through American history with a "crew of colorful characters" that seem to step right out of history. Families and individuals are welcome. The Sharpsburg Library is a branch of the Washington County Free Library.

New Life Fellowship to hold Fun Day



New Life Fellowship in Dargan will hold a community Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 22, starting at 8 a.m. with a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast. A chili and hot dog lunch will be served at 1 p.m. An inflatable bounce, a water slide and games will be available for the kids. This event is also a chance to showcase antique cars, sports cars and/or motorcycles. Bring your vehicle by 10 a.m. Visitors will listen to live music. A special feature will be a visit from the CMA, the Christian Motorcycle Association. The event is free and open to the public.

BHS class plans 50th reunion



The Boonsboro High School class of 1959 will hold a 50th reunion Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Boonsboro American Legion. Any classmates who would like to attend and have not been notified may call Marlene (Kretzer) Barger at 301-7910-115.

Helen House to speak at senior site



Helen House will speak on the topic "Sleep Apnea" and conduct exercises Monday, Aug. 3, at the senior site in Keedysville. Call manager Martha Drennen at 301-432-5624 for more details.
