Tri-State Fellowship car chow Sunday includes burnout

July 30, 2009

Tri-State Fellowship in Hagerstown will host a car, truck and motorcycle show Sunday at 13153 Cearfoss Pike in Hagerstown (one mile west of Interstate 81 at Exit 7B). The public is invited. There is no admission charge.

Vehicle registration, which costs $10, begins at 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $3. A burnout, which will cost $10 and require a separate registration, will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a stunt motorcycle show. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.

The car show was originally scheduled for July 26, but was moved to Sunday due to rain.

Radio-controlled cars made by Ridemakerz will be displayed at the car show.

Also on display will be three trebuchets, two full-sized and one model. The trebuchets, which are catapults, will be used to demonstrate how they will fling pumpkins at The Great Pumpkin Siege Festival, which will be held Oct. 10.

The Oct. 10 event will be held during the season of the Corn Maze at Cearfoss, a five-acre maze in a standing cornfield on the grounds of Tri-State Fellowship. The maze will be open weekends from Sept. 19 to Oct. 25.
