July 30, 2009

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Tyler Moore put Hagerstown ahead with an RBI double in a two-run eighth inning Wednesday to lift the Suns to a 5-3 victory over the Lexington Legends.

The Suns trailed 3-1 after five innings and scored single runs in the sixth and seventh before the two in the eighth to earn a split of the series with the Legends.

Derek Norris reached on an error to start the eighth and scored on Moore's double. Moore later scored on a sacrifice fly hit by Charlie Fermaint.

Carlos Peralta protected that lead over the final two innings of the game, earning his sixth save of the season on his 24th birthday. Austin Garret got the win for Hagerstown.
