Community service

The Allegany Dental Care staff recently participated in community service day.

Doctors, staff and family members volunteered to help at Brook Lane's Scoops and Wickets Family Fun Day. As part of Brook Lane's 60th anniversary celebration, the Allegany staff helped with children's games.

Also, Eleanor Harmison, Jackie Farester and Kathy Gray volunteered their dental services at the Mission of Mercy event at Hedgesville (W.Va.) High School. This was a program offering free dental services for people who could not afford treatment. They were a part of approximately 745 volunteers who worked over a two-day period.

Eleanor, Jackie and Kathy described it as an "awesome" experience.

Members of Allegany Dental Care said they find it rewarding to share their time and talents for community-oriented projects throughout the year.
