Margaret C. Moats, age 90, of 12441 Gateway Ave., Hagerstown, Md., went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her home.

Born Feb. 14, 1919, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. King and Mary E. Springer King.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Howard William Moats, in 1999.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Temple of Hagerstown and was retired from London Fog Manufacturing. Co. after many years of service.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Stotlemyer and Edith Miller, both of Hagerstown; four sons, Ted Moats, Gene Moats and Joe Moats, all of Hagerstown, and Robert Moats of Williamsport; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers; and one grandson, David Moats.

Services will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Temple, 16221 National Pike, Hagerstown. Dr. Larry Aikens and Pastor Ed Hampton will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, Md., on Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon.
