Williamsport grad receives scholarship from sorority

The women of Sigma chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa recently awarded a $600 scholarship to Kelsi Phillips, a recent graduate of Williamsport High School.

Kelsi plans to study elementary education in college. She works full time at the Mount Nebo Christian Preschool.

The sorority also contributed $100 each to the Sheriff's Ranch, Children's Village, San Mar Children's Home and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. St. Jude's is the sorority's international altruistic project, the Sheriff's Ranch is a state project and Children's Village is one of the local chapter's projects.

Alpha Delta Kappa is an international honorary organization of women educators dedicated to educational excellence, altruism and world understanding.
