STRUTHERS, Ohio -- Nick Stubbs had three hits and Brian Lesher, Austin Yost and Blake Miller combined to pitch a one-hitter as Hagerstown blanked West View (Pa.) 15-0 Thursday in the first round of the Colt League regional tournament.

Jack Schwartz, Jake Bachtell, Ryan Sword and Brock Heiston each had two hits for Hagerstown, which plays Youngstown (Ohio) today at 9 a.m.

Sharpsburg: Dalton Shank 3 hits; Ryan Nolan, Cameron Cline, Josh DeRocher 2 hits each.

Brunswick Orioles 12, Hagerstown Braves 3

SMITHSBURG -- The final two innings of the suspended fourth game of the best-of-5 Blue Ridge Adult League semifinal series were completed Wednesday night. The second-seeded Brunswick Orioles (22-9) scored five runs in the top of the seventh to finish off the third-seeded Hagerstown Braves (17-15), winning the series three games to one.


The Orioles advanced to the best-of-7 championship series against the top-seeded Boonsboro Pirates. Boonsboro will host the first two games -- today at 6:15 p.m. and Saturday at noon.

Suns' Beer and Wine Fest postponed to Saturday

Due to Thursday's rain, the Hagerstown Suns postponed their Beer & Wine Tasting Festival to Saturday from 3-6 p.m.

 Those with tickets to the event will be able to use them Saturday, and advance tickets will go back on sale for $15, effective immediately. Tickets will be sold on the day of the event for $18.

With admission to the 21-and-over event, patrons will receive 10 sample tickets, each of which is good for a 5-ounce sample of beer or wine. The event will feature live music, and the Suns will distribute free tasting glasses to the first 500 attendees.
