Salem to hold yard sale



Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, at 17626 Bakersville Road, will hold a yard sale to benefit needy families Saturday at the church, beginning with breakfast at 8 a.m. A lunch will be served at noon. The ladies of the church will sell raffle tickets for a handmade quilt. The drawing for the quilt will be held at the Christmas Bazaar, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m.

Sharpsburg Library to present puppet show



The Sharpsburg branch of Washington County Free Library will present a puppet show Thursday, July 30, at 3:30 p.m. The show will take place during the regular story time.

Ita Kavanaugh to speak at senior site
