HANCOCK, Md. - Martha Minerva Hull, age 96, formerly of Hancock, Md., and a resident of Golden Living Center in Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Born May 20, 1913, in Millstone, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Nancy Cassidy Gladhill, and the widow of Samuel Hull, who died Feb. 14, 1965.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Hancock.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen McCarty of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Mary Johnson of Williamsport, Md.; two sons, Paul D. Hull and William F. Hull, both of Hagerstown; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Harold N. Hull in 1994; one daughter, Ruth Hull in 1933; three sisters, Pearl Younker, Alice Marie Wolfe and Margie Hull; and one brother, Elmer Hull.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Hancock. The Rev. Jeff Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m.
