Gospel concert fundraiser benefits gallery

On June 20, Ron Lytle and the Contemporary School of the Arts and Gallery Inc. sponsored a gospel concert and fundraiser at the Bridge of Life church in Hagerstown, featuring entertainment from as far away as Atlanta.

Abigail Nigh, 9, of Hagerstown, was the youngest performer. Abigail was the opening act, performing three Christian contemporary songs of praise.

Heather Gayle, 15, a student at Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction, W.Va., performed seven songs at the event.

Other featured singers included New Joy Fellowship Church members Ron and Jeri Pride and their six children, who are known as Precious Jewels, as well as John and Angela Anderson-Johnson of Atlanta.

Additional participants in the concert were In Touch from Washington D.C., Marcina Garner of Columbia, Md., Shannon Watkins of Cumberland, Md., and Pastor McFarland and Spencer "Lil Spence" Morgan, both from Hagerstown.

Jonathan Burrs was the master of ceremonies.

The next gospel concert fundraiser will be Feb. 6, 2010, at the Bridge of Life church.
