Credit union offers help to Pa. employees

July 18, 2009

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Patriot Federal Credit Union has created special service programs for state employees who might be affected by the state's budget impasse and currently are credit union members or will become members.

Employees who are staying on the job, but not receiving a paycheck, may apply for a Payday Kwik-er Line Loan at a zero percent annual percentage rate.

All state employees who are members of the credit union or who want to become members may call or stop by Patriot to set up their loans. Members who do not have checking accounts with Patriot or prefer not to take payroll loan advances may request a no-charge skip-a-loan payment.

Patriot also asks all state employees who are experiencing financial hardship due to the impasse to contact the credit union about additional ways Patriot might be able to assist them.
